Buying Your First Home Doesn’t Have to Feel Overwhelming
Buying your first home is exciting...
My role is to guide you through the process step by step, explain what matters, and make sure you feel confident in every decision you make.
What Working With Me Looks Like
Clear Guidance From Start to Finish
I walk you through the entire process, from your first conversation to closing day.
You always know what is happening, what comes next, and why it matters. No guessing and no rushing.
Education You Can Actually Understand
I take the time to explain financing options, inspections, attorney review, and Chicago-specific details
like HOAs, taxes, and building rules. My goal is for you to understand the process, not just move through it.
Support and Advocacy at Every Step and Beyond
I represent your best interests from the moment we start all the way until after we close.
That means honest advice, thoughtful strategy, and clear communication so you never
feel pressured or unprepared.
What Does The Homebuyer Process Actually Look Like?
Step 1: Getting ready to buy
This is where we build your foundation. We talk through your budget, timeline, and goals, and I help you understand what you can comfortably afford. If you need a lender, I connect you with trusted options and explain what pre-approval actually means. By the end of this step, you feel prepared, not rushed.
Step 2: Touring Homes
I send you homes that match your criteria and explain what to pay attention to when we tour. We talk through layout, building health, location, and long-term fit, not just finishes. Touring homes becomes a learning process, not a guessing game.
Step 3: Submitting Offers
When you find the right home, I walk you through pricing, terms, and strategy. We talk about how competitive the market is, what protections to include, and how to write an offer that makes sense for you. Nothing is submitted without your full understanding and approval.
Step 4: Inspection & Attorney Review
Also known as A/I. After the offer is accepted, I coordinate the inspection and explain the results clearly. I work closely with your attorney to negotiate repairs or credits when appropriate. This step protects you and gives you space to make informed decisions.
Step 5: Financing and Appraisal
Your lender finalizes your loan and orders the appraisal. I stay involved to keep timelines on track and help address any questions that come up so there are no surprises.
Step 6: Closing and Move in
Congratulations! Before closing, we do a final walkthrough to confirm everything is as expected. On closing day, you sign, get the keys, and move forward knowing every detail has been handled.
